I’ve been pretty into podcasts, interviews and autobiographies lately particularly featuring the stories of female entrepreneurs and creatives so after seeing a few posts on Instagram with both real and internet friends highly recommending this book, I decided to give it a read. #GIRLBOSS is the autobiography of Sophia Amoruso founder and CEO of Nasty Gal one of the coolest and fastest growing online retailers currently worth 100 million + (whoa!) and founded a little over 8 years ago when Sophia was in her early 20s as a vintage resale ebay shop. One crazy thing she shares is that she built the company entirely debt free not taking out any loans or using credit. It’s really cool hearing her story because I remember when Nasty Girl was just a ebay shop advertising on myspace and it’s crazy to see what it’s developed into. There are so many fascinating (and unexpected!) things about her story and a good deal of useful advise that is pretty empowering to women. Needless to say, I loved the book and would definitely recommend it!
