As a total interior design nerd I am geeking out right now that I am looking at my macrame work in Phoenix Home and Garden for the second time this year!! Huge thanks to Anthony Williams design and his community at Local Trade for creating such a unique platform for artists and local craftsmen and women to share their work!
Friends, I am so excited to share that the book project I worked 100 Perfect Hair Days with Confessions of a Hairstylist aka Jenny Strebe, is now out!!!! This project was started over a year ago and comprised of about 4 different all day long photoshoots taking pictures of beautiful hairstyles for this book. I am seriously so honored that I got be a part of this and am very grateful for Jenny believing in me enough to help her make her book baby come to life. Everything turned out so well and it is pretty fun to see my photography work in a book put out by Chronicle Books. What!!! So much happiness right now.
I’m excited to share this shoot that was recently published and featured on the front cover of the January issue of Angelic Magazine featuring kittens, cupcakes and a blue haired princess! What a wonderful way to start the new year!! This piece was shot at Tremaine Ranch in Chandler with some of my absolute favorite people. Table styling was by the super talented Leah Theodosis at Tremaine. The gorgeous florals were by Andrea at Garden Gate Flowers and the tasty baked goods were by Sift Bakehouse. My blue haired princess model was Mia Pejlovas with beauty by Jaime Voelz-Leaman and Rosie Reed. Kitten model is Jasper, Leahs crazy adorable little feline. I had an absolute blast putting this shoot together and am very honored to be featured again in Angelic Magazine!
I have one other publication to share in a couple of weeks that is definitely the biggest and most exciting project I’ve ever worked on. I’ve given a few teasers here and there but the Confessions of a Hairstylist “100 Perfect Hair Days” will finally be out January 19th!! Amazon has a pretty good preview of it if you want to check it out here. Yay!
It has been far too long since I’ve shared work on the blog and I am really excited to share this styled bridal shoot! I initially was just doing the design for the paper goods for this shoot but was invited in as a second shooter to take some digital images alongside Daniel Kim who shot all film. Leah at Tremaine Ranch did an insanely good job at concepting and styling this shoot. She and her husband even built the beautiful moon alter pictured above and painted the full moon backdrop to go behind the cake table. So much talent!!! The venue was the Ice House which is a super gorgeous old warehouse building in downtown Phoenix. The entire team was crazy talented and our models Bonny and Shane were absolutely adorable. I’ve really loved Daniel Kims photography work for a long time so it was also really cool to work along side him and to see how he posed and set up shots and worked with the models. Above images are the digital ones I shot and you can see Daniels images featured on Style Me Pretty today!

I’m excited to finally be able to release these photos from our first shoot for the Confessions of a Hairstylist book project. The victory rolls were probably one of my absolute favorite hairstyles and you know I love vintage so these looks were particularly fun! These two dresses were actually from my vintage collection and will be up in the Kitten Paws shop later this week along with several other pieces I’ve used for different editorials and projects over the last year, yay!
A few more images from one of our shoots for the Confessions of a Hairstylist book. This one is a rolled updo with a fishtail braid incorporated, gorgeous! We’ll be using a back shot image of this one for the book but I loved these other shots of beautiful Mia and had to share. Makeup by Aeni Domme shot at Tremaine Ranch.
I’m absolutely thrilled and honored to have some of my photography work featured on a crazy major wedding blog, Wedding Chicks!! We had such an insanely talented team on this one, gahhh!!! Head over to the Wedding Chicks blog and check it out!
Above is an image from another fun makeup tutorial I shoot for Emma Magazine with makeup artist Stephanie Neiheisel on how to properly apply bronzer. Living in the desert, the sun can be super brutal. I naturally wear SPF 45 daily and hide indoors as much as possible so I love this super basic tutorial on how to get a little bit of color! Model is the gorgeous Sarah at Agency Arizona shot in my mini home studio. Check out the article here and be pale no more!
Recently I did a beauty shoot for the summer issue of Emma Magazine! This shoot was a little bit different for me because I usually do things outdoors but we decided to set up a mini natural light studio in my apartment since I have giant windows with gorgeous soft light that comes streaming through. This series was on the best lipstick shade for your skin tone with makeup by the ever so lovely Stephanie Neiheisel. I had seen and fallen in love with Stephanie’s work kind of all over the place but had never worked with her before so this was such a blast! Absolutely loved her energy and the looks she created! You can check out the feature here.
